Thank You, Father Gallagher!
Father Thomas Gallagher, O.S.F.S., 84 years old and 56 years as a priest, will be "retiring" from weekend ministry at St. Charles at the end of January. He has been serving as a weekend assistant at St. Charles since the merger with Our Lady of Fatima in 2014. He began serving as a weekend assistant at Our Lady of Fatima in 1976 because of a connection between the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales and the founding pastor of Our Lady of Fatima. St. Charles and the Bensalem community have been blessed for 47 years by Fr. Gallagher's priestly ministry and the wisdom of St. Francis de Sales which infuses his preaching.
Fr. Gallagher's last scheduled Mass at St. Charles will be the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, January 28. Please come to offer Fr. Gallagher your prayers and best wishes. We will have a little hospitality in honor of Fr. Gallagher in the Cafeteria right after Mass. All are welcome!
