Holy Week

Dear St. Charles Borromeo Family and Friends,

This evening we enter into Holy Week with the celebration of Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord.  Masses at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (Spanish) Saturday evening and 7:30 and 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (Spanish) on Sunday.  We commemorate the Lord's entrance into Jerusalem and read the Gospel of the Passion according to Matthew with three different voices and the repeated cries of the crowd, "Let him be crucified!"  Holy Week is dramatic and rich in symbolism that reveals the mystery of Christ's immense love for us and how God brought his plan for our salvation to fulfillment through the gift of his Son.  I hope you can join us for these days commemorating the passion, death, and resurrection of the Lord and pray that all of our hearts will be open to that mystery so we can experience in our lives the gift of his mercy, love, and new life.
